UpSkillet Redesign - Information Architecture

For the UpSkillet redesign, I focused on improving the website's information architecture to enhance user engagement and align with the company's revenue goals.

To better understand user needs, I developed a user persona and journey map, which highlighted key frustrations with the existing navigation structure.

By analyzing the site's organization, I identified major usability issues, such as a cluttered "more" drop-down menu that obscured important content. I conducted a content audit to visualize the existing structure and then implemented a new information hierarchy that grouped content by relevance and importance.

UpSkillet - User Testing

Using card sorting research, I identified user preferences for grouping pages like recipes, social media, and blog content, and applied these findings to streamline the navigation.

The redesign featured a horizontal navigation bar for desktop and a nested list for mobile, ensuring intuitive and efficient access to key pages.

Additionally, the integration of a search bar and clear labels for each category improved the usability of the site. This restructuring is expected to drive higher engagement by reducing friction in navigating the site, leading to a better user experience and supporting the company's revenue goals.
